Biography
Formed in late 2007/early 2008, Ireland Maiden are Ireland's no.1 tribute to the legendary heavy metal band Iron Maiden. Committed to recreating the performance and musical accuracy of an Iron Maiden show, the band comprises of experienced musicians who have come together as dedicated Iron Maiden fans with a mutual goal to deliver an energetic and faithful performance of the music of Iron Maiden for all fans to enjoy and which does "Eddie and the boys" proud. Performing up to 2hr+ shows with an ever increasing reportoire spanning every era of Iron Maiden, the band put every last drop of energy into each show to make sure every fan comes away happy.
In May 2009, Ireland Maiden embarked on the Scrap Metal Tour as part of RTE's show "Karl Spain Wants To Rock" and made their television debut in October 09 alongside some of Irelands top tribute acts and some of rocks biggest names - Biff Byford (Saxon), Brian Tatler (Diamond Head) and Brian Robertson (Thin Lizzy). Since then the band have seen their popularity rise and are constantly gigging in venues throughout the country with an ever increasing loyal and dedicated fan base.
With recent headline slots at various festivals and gigs in 2010/2011 Ireland Maiden continue to play bigger and better shows around the country speading the music and everything else thats Maiden to the masses. So whether its the classics like "Run To The Hills", "The Trooper", "Number Of The Beast" the epics like "Hallowed Be Thy Name" , "Powerslave" , "Phantom Of The Opera" or the grandeur that is .the "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner" there is something for every maiden fan to enjoy
